Wonder Woman Film: 5 Reasons Why It Should Follow Man Of Steel
1. Why Not? Is there any valid argument out there that says a Wonder Woman live-action superhero film shouldn't be made? Warner Bros. almost has an advantage if they finally announce active plans for a Wonder Woman film since there has been so much inactivity on their part outside of Batman and Superman films. There would be huge buzz surrounding the production. With that huge buzz would obviously be some huge pressure on WB/DC to deliver a great film. However, that pressure exists in every film they make. There are always financial considerations and risk involved when producing big-budget films. Undoubtedly, there's someone in a dark corner of the marketing/financial planning department at WB who generates predictable outcomes for films that have yet to be made based on hundreds of factors. The executives will be first and foremost concerned with the return on their investment. After all, the world of cinema first and foremost is a business. Regardless of what the numbers or executives say, the superhero film genre is here to stay. These films have proven time and time again that they can generate billions of dollars of revenue for studios. They have made so much money already without a major female presence. Imagine what could happen if the playing field was finally level? What would the superhero film genre look like if there truly were movies being released "for everyone" instead of "to everyone?" That is a genre that comic book fans around the world, regardless of gender, could be truly proud of.
