Wonder Woman: Story, Casting & Director For Justice League Film

Director?

Honestly, Joss Whedon€™s involvement was a brilliant choice. Coming from Firefly and Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, he was the perfect choice to bring Wonder Woman to life---sadly this was not to be and with the success of the Avengers I€™m sure Warner Brothers is kicking themselves. It isn€™t likely we€™ll see him involved again. Given that, it might be best to leave it to a newcomer or someone who isn€™t a Hollywood €œbig name€ though I do have a couple of thoughts. J.J. Abrams, for example, is capable of making magic out of Science Fiction and bringing an established franchise back to life. Zack Snyder has the visual chops and the experience adapting comic books thanks to 300 and Watchmen---though it€™s the former€™s setting as a period piece that makes it more likely that he€™ll give the €œlook€ of Themyscira and a Wonder Woman film what it deserves. Of course there is also the experience of Clash of the Titans director Louis Leterrier who has taken us into the realm of Greek Gods before---though he is also responsible for The Incredible Hulk so, perhaps not. No matter what it is certain the stars will have to align in just the right way for this film to get made and to get made properly. I€™m sure that DC and Warner Brothers have the best of intentions---let€™s just hope they pay attention to what the fanboys and fangirls are crying for in not just a Wonder Woman but a Justice League movie as well.
