6. Gunslingers
Much as Nicolas Cage has been on quite the career roll as of late, there was no denying the tawdriness of Gunslingers - a low-rent Western action film whose trailer made it abundantly clear we were in for a rough time.
Westerns are tough to make on a low budget, but this one was especially horrendously cheap-looking from the very first trailer, no matter that it boasts a solid ensemble cast, also including Stephen Dorff and Heather Graham.
And duly, Gungslingers lived way, way down to expectations, though somewhat disappointingly, even Nic Cage fans didn't have much to savour here, as his cartoonish, oddly accented performance stands among one of the worst of his entire career, even earning him a Razzie nomination for Worst Supporting Actor.
Absolutely nothing about this held any promise pre-release, and so those few who decided to torture themselves watching it can't really claim to have been misled.
