siryn Legacy characters have long been a staple of comic books, particularly at DC, but Marvel as well. There have been multiple characters who have taken on the names of Green Lantern, the Flash, Captain Marvel, Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Batman, even Wolverine. But in the movies, with the exception of the end of The Dark Knight Rises, the legacy aspect hasn€™t really been explored. It€™s not surprising, given that none of the franchises have really reached a legacy turnover point yet. Siryn provides the potential for some of that legacy, because Theresa Rourke is the daughter of Sean Cassidy. You might remember that name, as Sean Cassidy is also known as Banshee, who was played by Caleb Landry Jones in X-Men: First Class. Siryn could prove to be the first real legacy character in comic book movies. Theresa was raised not by her father, but by her father€™s cousin, Black Tom Cassidy, a criminal. Eventually, she learned the truth of her parentage and Black Tom made sure that she was not held as an accomplice in any of his crimes. She joined X-Force and later, took on the name Banshee after her father€™s death to honor his memory. She€™s also already appeared in cameos in both X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand as one of the students at the Xavier School Siryn also has some romantic connections to two other characters on this list, one of whom is a certain merc who could be convinced to switch sides...
