X-Men: 10 Actors Who Could Play The MCU's Cyclops
5. Lakeith Stanfield
Like Joseph Quinn, this is not the most conventional choice, as LaKeith Stanfield doesn't necessarily have the aura of a powerful Marvel hero. However, that could play into the strengths of the character here, as it could take Cyclops in an unexpected direction. It's always good to keep the audience on their toes.
Stanfield has been slowly but surely making his name in the Hollywood scene. His breakout performance in Atlanta started to etch his name onto the map, and his performances in Get Out, Selma, Uncut Gems, Judas and the Black Messiah and more have helped him to continue carving out a reputation for himself. A leading role in the MCU would be an excellent next move.
The actor is incredibly charming and likeable and always manages to bring nuance to his roles, even when they're on the smaller side. While he himself might be a little smaller than the average MCU hero, there's no doubt he could go through a body transformation and turn into a physically intimidating presence.
His comedy skills, likeability, charisma and nuance are all worthwhile ingredients in what would be a subversive version of Scott Summers.
