X-Men: 10 Massive Questions About Its Confusing Canon

9. WTF Happened To Colossus?

2014€™s X-Men: Days Of Future Past and 2016€™s Deadpool include totally different versions of Marvel Comics metal man Colossus. When Daniel Cudmore - who played Colossus across four X-Men movies - refused to sign up for Deadpool, Fox just went ahead and made a different iteration of the character (which took 5 people to create via CGI). Daniel Cudmore€™s appearance as a teacher at the end of Days Of Future Past suggests that his svelte and not-massively-Russian version of the character is still canon, although the CGI Colossus of Deadpool stakes just as big a claim by popping up throughout the movie and attempting to recruit Deadpool. He looks and sounds nothing like Cudmore, but he€™s the most recent version of Colossus to appear in cinemas, and in X-Men it always seems like new is always better. Again, is this ginormous, CGI and very-Russian Colossus somehow meant to be an older version of Cudmore€™s character, even though there€™s barely any resemblance between the two? Did he just work out a lot and get a new voice-box/face? It doesn€™t seem like Fox will ever give fans an answer, which is a little bit infuriating if you€™re a real stickler for continuity.
