X-Men: Apocalypse - 10 Things From The Comics That Could Feature

8. Wolverine's Adamantium

The Wolverine ended with Logan getting his adamantium claws sliced off by Lord Yashida€™s Silver Samurai armor. This didn€™t leave him claw-less, however, as Logan was still able to pop out bone claws. Those same bone claws were also seen in the mid-credits stinger scene of The Wolverine when he€™s confronted by Professor X and Magneto. In the future, Logan has his adamantium claws, which means that at some point after the events of The Wolverine he got the adamantium back. The question is how? In the comics, the adamantium was leeched from Wolverine€™s bones by an enraged Magneto. For several years, Logan relied on his bone claws. There were two attempts to once again bond Wolverine€™s bones with the unbreakable metal. The first was a failure, but the second was a success. And in both cases, guess who was involved? That€™s right, Apocalypse. The first attempt was undertaken by Genesis, Cable€™s son who had been perverted by Apocalypse. He planned to bond the adamantium to Wolverine and turn him into a Horseman. This failed, but later, Apocalypse decided this was a good idea. After kidnapping Wolverine, Apocalypse bonded the adamantium once again and brainwashed him, transforming him into the Horseman Death. Seeing as how much the movies love Wolverine to be the center of all their films, it€™s not too much of a stretch at all to imagine that Apocalypse will be the one to restore Wolverine to his unbreakable glory.
