X-Men: Apocalypse - 11 Things To Expect Now We've Seen Days Of Future Past

9. Magneto Battered And Bruised But Not Beaten

It seems unlikely that we're going to see Magneto align with the X-Men again to take on Apocalypse, considering that we've now seen that on multiple occasions in the film franchise so it is perhaps better to think of Fassbender's villain as the wounded animal he clearly is at the end of Days Of Future Past. Having been beaten into submission and seen his ongoing quest to ensure that mutants are viewed as the superior race of humans, Magneto is ultimately allowed to leave rather than be locked up by the humans he keeps trying to kill. Clearly, this was not Xavier's smartest decision, though he was helped out by Magneto's equally odd decision to leave his helmet behind (which could perhaps by explained by Professor X not letting him take it, of course, but it wasn't explicitly shown), since the villain has a habit of licking his wounds and learning nothing. So we can expect Magneto to be back as a villain - possibly aligned with Apocalypse, given their similar agendas for mutant dominance - and it would be foolish to rule out the possibility that Magneto will ultimately be responsible for the ancient mutant's demise, in a power play to return himself to the top of the pile.
