X-Men: Apocalypse - 11 Things To Expect Now We've Seen Days Of Future Past
4. X-Factor And X-Force
Now that it is patently clear that Apocalypse is going to raise the stakes in an unprecedented way that will likely lead to all-out war, it seems logical to assume that other mutant teams are going to unite with the X-Men to help take down the ancient evil, his Horsemen and his Alliance of Evil, and given that Gambit's stand-alone movie is incoming, it would be a smart move to introduce the character as the leader of a version of X-Factor based on the All New X-Factor run that began in January 2014. That version of the X-Factor would also allow for the return of Quicksilver - especially as it feels like Singer's iteration of the character is actually based on Peter David's - as well as introducing new young mutants like Polaris, Danger, Warlock and Cypher (or other more familiar faces to fill out the ranks). Additionally, we could see a hint, or an outright inclusion of the X-Force, since that would both introduce Cable (and make a lot of fans happy) without needing any extra-dimensional elements or time travel and also set up the X-Force spin-off movie that Fox are also working on. Having both X-Factor and X-Force alongside the X-Men would make Apocalypse even more of an event movie, and would cover the full gamut of the good side of the mutant divide, from X-Factor's clandestine mutant protection force through the X-Men as peace-keepers to the X-Force as the black ops, more militarised and forceful extreme force.
