6. Joe Manganiello - Cable
Inevitably, the Apocalypse storyline, and the hints that we will once again see multiple timelines both lead to the possibly wishful suggestion that Cable will appear. We already know that X-Force is at least tentatively slated to become part of Fox's wider X-Men movie universe, and Cable obviously plays a major part in that team, so at some point he's going to be introduced to the XCU. And the Apocalypse storyline would offer a classic approach to that question, as well as allowing for a slow-reveal that he is the child of Jean Grey and Cyclops. Cable could simply come back in time from the future to attempt to take Apocalypse out at a key juncture (in the '80s timeline), bringing some of the X-Force with him, including Blink, Warpath and Bishop perhaps. Manganiello has already been close to a key casting in comic book movies twice, and he's also an enduring suggestion to replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine when he gives up the claws, but there's something even more intriguing in the image of him as a John Connor type, grizzled by future combat, playing alongside Jackman's Wolverine in a clash for alpha-male supremacy.
