X-Men: Apocalypse - 8 Ways The New Trailer Killed Your Anticipation

2. Those Super Cheesy Dialogue Cues

Granted, X-Men: Apocalypse is a comic book movie, and comic book movies are entitled - to some extent - to indulge in cheesy dialogue cues. From time to time. Unfortunately, X-Men: Apocalypse appears to have used up its entire quota in the trailer alone. There are some serious offenders contained with its two and a half minute runtime, which doesn't bode well for the actual film. Here are some of the worst offenders:
"He means to destroy this world... billions of people killed..." "It's all of us... against a God..." "Let's go to war!" "Everything they've built will fall!"
"It's all of us... against a God" is incredibly clunky and expositional, like it was written purposely so it could be utilised later in a trailer, whilst Mystique's "Let's go to war" is about as obvious a line of dialogue as they come - surely X-Men fans deserve better than lines you'd find littered throughout the amateur screenplays in a Screenwriting 101 class?
