X-Men: Apocalypse - 9 Major Characters Who Could Die

The news that Rose Byrne's Moira MacTaggert would make an appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse came as something of a surprise to fans. Partly because MacTaggert wasn't deemed important enough to appear in Days Of Future Past, partly because it was easy to forget the character altogether, such was her peripheral level of importance in First Class.

But return MacTaggert will in Apocalypse, and though her role in the film is being kept under wraps at the moment, it can be assumed she's not so important that she's guaranteed to make it to the end of the film. MacTaggert is likely to be set as the co-founder of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, as she is in the comics.

Beyond that, though, MacTaggert - as a non-mutant - might not serve much purpose to the plot. It could be that she is being brought back as something of a love interest for Charles, only to be killed by Apocalypse, setting off the chain of events that leads the mutants to fight back.
