X-Men: Apocalypse - 9 Major Characters Who Could Die

Days Of Future Past reintroduced Colonel Stryker - now played by Josh Helman - to the X-Men franchise for a reason. Though at present it's unconfirmed that Stryker will reappear in Apocalypse, it would seem odd to re-cast the character for what's essentially a glorified cameo in Days Of Future Past just to ditch him for Apocalypse.

Indeed, Helman has even hinted in interviews that Stryker will be back in Apocalypse. Assuming Stryker is returning, then, there could be more for Helman to do this time around - including deal with an angry Wolverine (also rumoured to return in Apocalypse, but not confirmed) that thinks Stryker, not Mystique, was the one to capture him at the end of Days Of Future Past.

Anything's possible with the timeline changed, including death for Stryker coming earlier than the events of X2. Still, chances are that - with so much due to happen plot-wise in Apocalypse - Stryker will be kept around for later films in which he's more of a main threat.
