8. Professor X Doesn't Trust Jean Grey
The X-Men: Apocalypse trailer opens with Jean Grey's terrifying vision of death and destruction, though mentor Charles Xavier is quickly there to calm her down. However, the version of the scene featured in this first look at the movie isn't going to the same one that makes it into the final cut. Instead, the one we'll see in that is going to feature a Charles who is actually suspicious about his student's budding abilities. "The take I used for the movie is a less sincere take," Singer reveals. "In the movie its an intense moment, a psychic moment happens between them and the take is a much more suspicious take." Could Charles have concerns about Jean's powers? The filmmaker adds that, "she has a special connection with the psychic world and she has enormous untapped power thats growing," so it's no wonder he wants to keen an eye on her. Bear in mind that while the events of X-Men: The Last Stand have been wiped away, Charles was concerned with Jean's power from the moment he met her, so chances are that will once again be the case.
