X-Men Days Of Future Past: 20 Big Questions That Still Need Answers

11. Will The Younger Xavier and Magneto Reconcile?

In the dystopian future Xavier and Magneto must work side by side despite their different philosophies towards mutant and humankind. To parallel the future scenes their younger selves will have to work together again after a decade apart to change the future. Will Xavier and Magneto then part ways again, or will they attempt to build a better future together, hence drastically changing the course of their lives? From the original trilogy we assumed that Xavier and Magneto's friendship was lifelong, but First Class interpreted their relationship as short-lived before going separate ways. How Xavier and Magneto's relationship turns out in the 1970s may lead them continuing to work together, and that can be a good thing €“ McAvoy and Fassbender have strong screen chemistry and the relationship between Xavier and Magneto was the highlight of First Class. It'll be nice to see the two actors on screen together again and to see how their relationship evolves, especially after so much time apart.

10. Who Died And Who Will Die?

This isn't the last X-Men film, but the stakes are so high it feels like the franchise's conclusion. And when things are as dire as they are in this film, well, it's only natural to expect some casualties. Though to be fair, no-one seems to stay dead in comic book movies anymore. Is the future Mystique still alive? And how will her death affect Magneto and Xavier, who both had close and complex relationships with her? Will this be Halle Berry's final outing as Storm? It was recently reported that her role was being cut down to just one scene, meaning Storm's one scene may also be her death scene. Ideally this won't be a repeat of The Last Stand in regards to character deaths, but if Singer handles things right the character deaths will have a huge impact on the audience and make the film a more intense an emotional experience.
