X-Men Movies: 15 Moments That Pissed Off Every Fan
7. Convenient Amnesia Is Convenient - X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Because it's a prequel and feels obliged to, like most prequels, provide more information about the original franchise than it really needs to, Origins: Wolverine explains how Logan got amnesia in the first place: at the end of the film, William Stryker shoots him in the head with an adamantium bullet, making him fall unconscious and wake up with no memories of his past. Yes, Wolverine needs to lose his memory, but this is both overly convenient and silly, namely that the bullet erased his memory without damaging any other major areas of his brain. Then there's the absurdity of Logan being unable to remember anything before the 1980s yet somehow remembering World War II in The Wolverine. If you were hoping for a convenient explanation of Logan's condition, this just wasn't it: it was probably the least imaginative way to get Logan into that state, and like most of the movie, fell flat with a thunderous thud.
