X-MEN Sequels: 5 Still Unseen X-Men and Who Should Play Them

4. Forge

Another popular character that has appeared many times throughout the X-Men comic series and in pretty much every X-Men TV series and many X-Men related games. For those who are unfamiliar with the character, he is a mutant with a super-human ability to invent weapons, gadgets and gizmo's, with a super-human intellect to go with it. His powers aren't all that flashy, but The Avengers powers weren't all that flashy either and no one cared. Forge also has a history, at least within the X-Men animated series, and led the resistance against the sentinel army in the cartoon series. As it is likely, because the cartoons presentation of this storyline is almost as famous as the storyline itself, the writers and director will be likely taking some inspiration from this show for their movie. I could definitely see Forge as a member of the future X-Men team in the First Class sequel. WHO SHOULD PLAY HIM: Another racially diverse character, Forge is a Native American and it would be good to get a Native American to play the role. For all the people that constantly fuss when a white superheroes race is changed, it would only be fair then to at least keep those who are not white in the comics, non-white also in the films. I have a feeling Taylor Lautner may be too irresistible to the casting directors because of his distant Native American ancestry and he very almost landed a role in First Class anyway. However, I have never been a fan... the best casting in my mind would be another man from Twilight... Alex Meraz. He is just as good looking as Lautner and though not Native American he had indigenous Mexican heritage so this would work. Plus, he gets away with being Native American in the Twilight movies. He also has just the right amount of roughness and none of Lautner's Justin Bieber qualities to be a better pick for this role.

I am a recent Screenwriting for Film and Television graduate from the UK. I am an unashamed geek who loves everything Marvel, and anything Joss Whedon has ever touched (except for maybe Alien Resurrection and Titan A.E). My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future.
