3. Bishop

Bishop is another highly popular character with links to the Days Of Future Past storyline in the cartoon television series where he is the one taking Kitty Pryde's role in the comics, and travels back in time to prevent the terrible future he knows all too well from happening. He also originates from the future anyway, and travels back in time in the comic books from a dystopian future to join the X-Men, a team he knows only as legends from his time-line. If I were in control of the Days of Future Past movie, this character would be an absolute must. For those that don't know him, Bishop has the ability to absorb and redirect energy attacks a little like Sebastian Shaw in First Class. He also has super-human physical abilities and has the ability to know his current location at all times (which isn't all that impressive in this I-Phone generation). Always portrayed as a bad-ass anti-hero, though at first joining with the X-Men, he later turned into one of their biggest antagonists and we know how much First Class likes to go from good guy to bad guy with their characters.
WHO SHOULD PLAY HIM: This wasn't intentional really, but yet again Bishop is not a white superhero character, with an interesting heritage. Like never before seen on film, Bishop was the son of an Aborigine mutant, and ideally, this is the race I'd like to see cast in this role. This however is a very difficult task, and I wouldn't want to cast an actor solely on race, but mostly on talent.
Rowan McNamara from the indie-film Samson and Delilah is critically acclaimed and is an Australian aborigine so could fit the role (though I haven't seen the film so don't know whether he would suit the role or not). If not, a black actor could be cast in the role seeing as in the comics and TV series many people would have assumed he was African American any way. In this case, you could never ever go wrong with
Jamie Foxx.
