X-Men: Supernova - 10 Big Questions We Need Answering

4. Will They Stick Deadpool In It?

Deadpool made more money at the American box office than any of the previous X-Men movies, including the spinoffs and prequels. On the same leader board, X-Men: Apocalypse stands third from the bottom, having only beaten First Class and The Wolverine.

It's not hard to imagine a studio head looking at those numbers and deciding the mainline X-Men films need an injection of snarky Ryan Reynolds goodness. Deadpool poking fun at Charles and his merry mutants all over the marketing materials would be a surefire way to drum up interest for Supernova. He wouldn't even need a massive part in the final film, as long as potential viewers knew he had some sort of presence.

But would Reynolds want to do this? Would he even have the time in his schedule? It's hard to say at this stage, but if there's something in particular he wants from Fox (extra characters or dosh for Deadpool 2, for example), he could use a cameo in X-Men: Supernova and some marketing assistance as a powerful bargaining chip.

And you needn't worry about the timelines failing to sync up. Deadpool 2 will introduce the time-traveller Cable. Supernova could use his skill-set as an easy way to explain Wade Wilson's antihero existing in the 1990s.
