X-Men: Supernova - 10 Big Questions We Need Answering
5. Do The TV Shows Link Up To It?
One X-Men TV show is definitely on the way our screens: Legion, which will star Dan Stevens as Charles Xavier's son, a powerful mutant whose gift includes multiple personalities and powers to match.
One of the network executives behind Legion has told the press it exists "in a parallel universe" to the films, in which "the US government is in the early days of being aware that something called mutants exist but the public is not." He added that he "wouldn’t foresee characters moving back and forth because they really are parallel universes.” So that's a big no from that one: Supernova and Legion will not have a crossover.
There is another X-Men TV show in development, though, from writer Matt Nix. It's about a mutant family going on the run, and according to Mr Nix it will reference the films if it gets a series order. He told Collider, "if you like that world and the world of the movies, there are definite nods to it, it definitely exists in the same general universe."
So, if Nix's as-yet-untitled shows does make it to screen, there could be some connectivity with Supernova.
