X-Men: The New Mutants - 10 Big Reasons To Be Excited
6. Another Stark Joins The X-Men Franchise
Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, debuted in X-Men: Apocalypse as a young Jean Grey and is set to reprise her role in Dark Phoenix. And, despite what some may say, her performance was pretty solid.
As it turns out, Turner's on-screen sister from Thrones will be joining the X-Men universe in The New Mutants. Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark in the HBO series, will be taking on the role of Rahne Sinclair (aka Wolfbane), a mutant lycanthrope.
Williams is well-known for the raw energy she brings to the screen as Arya in Thrones, so casting her as a young, confused, likely highly emotional mutant who his struggling with her identity as a werewolf is a very promising casting choice indeed.
Plus, the eight years she's spent on Thrones thus far has given her plenty of time to hone her craft as an actress. And while we only really got a glimpse of her in the trailer, it still appears that the zest that made her so popular in the first place is alive and well.
