7. Evan Peters Is The Best Element

After stealing the show with just a single sequence in Days Of Future Past, Evan Peters' Quicksilver again emerges from the reviews as one of the most positive parts of Apocalypse. According to Variety:

"...It€™s Peters who emerges as the cast standout in just a handful of scenes, by bringing an offbeat sensibility to a production that otherwise plays campy cartoon material a little too straight."

New York Daily News repeat the sentiment:

"Once again, it's Evan Peters' Quicksilver who steals the movie whenever we see his powers in action, maybe because they've found a unique way to showcase them. There's even a fun but unnecessary tangent involving another popular "X-Men" character."

Not everyone was quite as convinced, with The Guardian suggesting he trots out the same routine to diminished returns:

"Fans of DOFP will be looking for a followup to the now classic frozen-time sequence in which Quicksilver dashed around the place, plucking bullets out of the air and putting people in silly positions €“ and all to the haunting accompaniment of Jim Croce€™s Time in a Bottle. Now he does the same thing as Eurythmics play Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This). It€™s amusing, but not quite the showstopper it was the last time €“ and the returns are diminishing for this routine."

And the same goes for The Wrap:

"Even the film€™s action centerpiece Quicksilver rescuing everyone from an exploding building in cheeky slo-mo feels like an exact copy of a better sequence from €œDays of Future Past.€

Some people just don't want to be impressed...
