3. Angel - Ben Foster (X-Men: The Last Stand)

Warren Kenneth Worthington III, otherwise known as Angel, may well have been a founding member of the X-Men in the original comic books but if his presence in X-Men: The Last Stand is anything to go by it would be easy to mistake him for a minor player in the saga.

Played by Ben Foster, Angel's presence in X-Men: The Last Stand seemed to be more to do with cramming in any X-Men characters they'd missed from the previous films than it was to do with bringing something fresh to the table. Given very little material to work with, Foster struggles to bring the character to life, resulting in a whiny and annoying performance which seems to exist only for the sake of the convenience of the plot.

Having been set to appear in X-Men and as Archangel in X2, both appearances were cut before shooting went ahead. It's hard not to wish the same decision had been made this time around.
