Zack Snyder's Justice League: 10 New Characters We'll See In The Snyder Cut

Justice League vaguely referenced a car crash which resulted in the death of Cyborg's mother, but the "Snyder Cut" could end up changing things. After all, the comic books depicted her as a S.T.A.R. Labs scientist who died while trying to save her son alongside her husband Silas (a scene fans caught a glimpse of in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice).

Time will tell whether that's the plan for this version of Justice League, but images shared by Snyder have confirmed that Cyborg's mother will appear both in flashbacks and a dream sequence when the Mother Boxes unite and Darkseid offers Victor Stone the life he so desperately desires.

The League member is supposed to have a considerably larger role in this film, and it's been confirmed that Silas is actually meant to meet his maker at the hands of Steppenwolf (meaning the scene where his father builds Cyborg a new body was the result of Whedon's reshoots). Seeing what the hero's relationship with his mother brings to the table, though, is undeniably intriguing.
