4. It's A Shameless Retread Of The Original

Nobody would dare call Double Tap an ambitious follow-up to its predecessor, because this effectively rehashes the style and narrative structure of the first film.

There are the ever-present "rules" for surviving the zombie apocalypse, a squabbling quartet with abandonment issues, a bevy of cameos, occasional zombie shootouts and, yes, even an opening titles sequence set to another soul-ripping Metallica classic.

But like the original Zombieland, the plot itself is hardly the selling point - it's instead a skeleton on which to hang its gloriously entertaining personality, and for the most part Double Tap is fun enough to overcome its undeniable feeling of familiarity.

Some may feel that such a safe approach after a decade between movies is just too lazy to be good enough, but thanks to the sharp script and knowing performances, it still (mostly) works regardless.
