10 Additions We'd Like To See In Total War: Three Kingdoms

6. Adjust A Few Random NPC Names

Let's be totally honest without ourselves here – Total War: Three Kingdoms is not an historically accurate game. But there are a few...oddities that have the community a bit riled up. Some of them could simply be poor choices in naming NPCs, while others are a clear lack of someone in the pipeline making sense. Here are two brief examples:

Zheng Jiang, one of the playable factions, starts off with the quest to defeat a Han army led by a character named Xun Yu. Now for those of you unfamiliar, Xun Yu was the chief adviser to Cao Cao. Essentially Xun Yu dies in the first turn of the game – every game. This has upset a lot of people in the community. This issue was actually pointed out pre-release as a major point of fan vitriol, so it's kind of surprising nothing's been done about it, yet.

Another odd oversight is the Han administrator of Langye. Not so much his inclusion, of course, but the fact that they named him Wang Yun. It is pretty common to be attacking and killing the poor sod right about the time the Han minister Wang Yun is inducing Lu Bu to betray Dong Zhuo on the other side of the map. They are clearly two different people, especially since the minister should be 53 and Langye's commander is a bright-eyed 21-year-old. The simple fix would just be to rename those two.
