10 Additions We'd Like To See In Total War: Three Kingdoms

7. Allow Redeploying An Army Without Retinue

A nice feature to Total War: Three Kingdoms is that troops are now associated with a general, so when you disband an army to save money, you can call it back into service later on with the same experience levels it once had by simply redeploying the general in question. It's an almost essential technique when it comes down to movement across such a big space as China

There's one problem with this though: Once an officer has a retinue, you can't get rid of it until you deploy them. So if you hire Lü Bu, who is equipped with low-level lancer militia units, and you want to put better units on him? You still have to pay his full redeployment fee and then disband his entire army and hire new ones.

There should be the ability to deploy officers either without their retinue. Sometimes you just need to send Xu Chu with two units of spearman to take out a rebel army in a backwater province, six units of Elite Green Dragon Psychic Halberd ICBM Valkyries. Just add a UI point to recruit without retinue or even let us pick how much of the retinue we want to recruit by way of clicking on or off on a unit when recruiting. Simple.
