10 Anticipated Video Games FINALLY Releasing In 2022
2. God Of War: Ragnarok
God of War: Ragnarok was teased the moment players finished its predecessor. At the end of the 2018 version of God of War, it's implied that The Twilight of the Gods (Ragnarok) is inevitable and Kratos is destined to face off against the Norse god of thunder, Thor.
When God of War: Ragnarok got the official green-light in 2019, many fans hoped the game would be out the following year. But due to the pandemic and the lead star, Christopher Judge, falling ill, fans were forced to wait.
When 2020 rolled by with no release date in sight, gamers started getting impatient. Only during the PlayStation Showcase this year did the public finally see Ragnarok was officially set to be released in 2022.
The trailer also showed gameplay for the first time, highlighted that Kratos could explore the nine realms, and would encounter iconic Norse characters like Odin, Tyr, Angrboda, Durlin, and Thor. On top of that, it's been announced that Ragnarok will serve as the climax for Kratos time with the Norse gods. (It goes without saying that fans are also hyped to hear Kratos yell 'BOY!' again over and over.)
