10. Watch Dogs 3 Is DEFINITELY Set In London

Though it's been speculated for several years that Ubisoft's as-yet-unannounced Watch Dogs 3 will be set in London, Kotaku's ultra-reliable sleuth Jason Schreier recently declared with total confidence that the rumours are absolutely true.

Fans first considered the possibility of a London setting after Watch Dogs 2 received a patch in early 2017 which added an extra tag onto the game's closing cut-scene.

The cut-scene included co-ordinates which, when inputted into Google Maps, pulled up the Brixton district of London.

London could certainly give the Watch Dogs series just the fresh lick of paint it needs, by not only signalling a major aesthetic shift for the franchise but also toning down the rather awkward presence of guns in the previous games.

If Ubisoft can fully embrace what it means to be British - both for better and for worse - with a healthy layer of social satire on top, Watch Dogs 3 could easily end up the best entry into a franchise that's still struggling to fully achieve its potential.

There's no word on when Ubisoft might finally drop the veil on the sequel, though the safest best is E3 in June. Not long to wait, then.
