6. Heisenberg’s Offer
After fighting through Lady D, doll hell and the slime-covered docks, Heisenberg is the last Lord standing. He is quick to introduce himself, talking to Ethan shortly after Moreau’s death and sending him straight to the final flask. A helpful move. By the time he’s cleared the Stronghold and is being led to the factory, the players are wondering what this enigmatic character is up to.
Unsure of what to expect – another death maze seemed likely – it comes as a surprise when he doesn’t immediately try to kill you. As it turns out, not only does he hate Mother Miranda, but he is trying to take her down and offers to help you save Rose in the process.
It is quite the change in tune for the Lords, who up until now have been wholly devoted to Miranda. The offer is tempting, even if Ethan didn’t seem to think so.
His alliance, of course, has one proviso: he would use Rose to, as he puts it, “grind Miranda into paste”. Unsurprisingly, Ethan doesn’t much like this idea and outright refuses him, resulting in Heisenberg dropping him down a hole to be chainsaw chow. It’s just a shame there’s no choice to accept his deal. Perhaps a DLC is in order?
