10 Awesome Video Game Crossovers We Were ROBBED Of

Now before you get too excited about this one, it's worth noting that this crossover wasn't intended for the video game world - instead this one was due to be an episode of Amazon's video-game anthology series Secret Level. 

For the unitiated, Secret Level is a series in which each episode is essentially a short film based on a video game. The likes of Sifu, Warhammer and even Pac-Man have been adapted into episodes of the show but some fairly big heavy hitters have remained surprisingly absent.

The news broke in early 2025 that Microsoft were approached by the show's creators about doing an episode that would see Master Chief and the Doomslayer teaming up to do battle, but the plans were very quickly shut-down by Microsoft. No explicit reason was given but most fans speculate that Microsoft likely felt that the slightly more family-friendly Halo series wouldn't gel with Doom's hyper-violent nature. 

Little else is also known of the episode's plot, leaving fans to speculate on whether we'd have seen the Doomslayer joining the ranks of the UNSC, or whether we'd have seen Master Chief descend into the bowels of hell. 

 Let's face it, both ideas sound bloody brilliant.
