10 AWESOME Video Games That Never Got Sequels

1. Bully

Bully got so much attention for its controversial themes during its release, there wasn't enough focus on the fact it was really awesome game. Bully boasted a well-structured open-world, a tight script, diverse missions, and a slew of creative mini-games.

Due to its success, a remaster was released two years later, which offered new objectives, characters, classes, and a multiplayer mode.

But the gaming community wanted more. Although a sequel wasn't initially on the cards, the developers changed their tune when Bully surpassed sales expectations. In 2008, a team at Rockstar New England got to work on the follow-up.

Hoping to match the quality of Red Dead and GTA, Bully II was expected to focus more on advanced AI, so the smallest decision would affect character's behaviour later in the main campaign. Within the first year of development, the project seemed to be shaping up nicely, with 6-8 hours completed.

But in 2009, Rockstar Games suddenly pushed the developers onto other titles, causing the project to stall. Despite the fact former Rockstar exec, Dan Houser, stated the company hoped to circle back to the sequel, nothing came of it.

Although Bully II has been "confirmed" on several occasions, such news has repeatedly proven to be false. Even though a Bully sequel would be a dream, it looks like we'll have to settle with the original for the foreseeable future.
