10 Best Dragon Ball Z Video Games - Ranked
6. Dragon Ball Xenoverse
Supersonic Warriors is not the only game to mix with the Dragon Ball Z story, as 11 years later Xenoverse did it too.
In Xenoverse, players create a new character and travel back in time to stop new villains Towa and Mira from changing the past events of Dragon Ball Z. The new story fits the Dragon Ball universe very well and its inclusion was one of the biggest selling points of the game.
The character creation has real depth as it gives fans the chance to play as an earthling, Namekian, a member of the Frieza race, a member of the Buu race or a Saiyan. There is also a range of super attacks and outfits to unlock throughout the game.
Combat gets repetitive at times but Xenoverse is still a solid fighting game. Also, the repetitiveness is lessened by the game borrowing the team based fights (with no tagging required) from Battle of Z adding a different dimension to the fights.
Both the ability to create a new character as well as the inclusion of RPG elements breathed new life into a series that had struggled in the early 2010s.
