10 Best Final Bosses In Resident Evil History
9. Lucas Baker - Resident Evil 7 (Not A Hero)
Cathartic. That's the word that springs to mind when the evil, sadisitic Jigsaw-wannabe Lucas Baker finally gets his just desserts.
Lucas was arguably the most monstrous member of the terrifying Baker family. A smug, twisted bully who got his rocks off watching people navigate his home-made labyrinth, a cruel maze designed to inflict agonising injuries on its victims before burning them to death, Lucas was a genuinely hateful villain. As such, his abrupt departure from the base game's plot was a major disappointment.
Fortunately Capcom rectified their mistake with 'Not a Hero', a free DLC episode designed to tie a bow on RE7's storyline. Playing as franchise staple Chris Redfield, after a two-hour cat and mouse chase players finally got the chance to go face to face with Lucas and deliver the retribution the smug bastard deserved.
The final fight may have been standard Resi fare (mutated antagonist, time limit), but in this case the chance to end one of the franchise's most detestable villains was all the reward players needed.
