10 Best Levels In The Spyro Reignited Trilogy

The entire level has that magical quality Spyro often does well, but it manages to mix in the whacky humour too. Many of the other more mystical levels struggle to incorporate the gags as well, but if anything they’re the biggest selling point of Cloud Temples.

Giving Spyro an ice breath power up was a nice twist on what players were used to, but how they applied it was comedy genius. Spyro must freeze things into ice blocks in order to climb up to higher levels. So far, so Spyro. However, these ‘things’ are actually flaming chimpanzees, running amok and squealing as they dance around cartoonishly.

Doofus secret agent Zero adds to the quirkiness here too, as you follow him by hiding behind trees and corners on the way to his clubhouse. He’s not the brightest, as his Sloth from Goonies style speech indicates. However, getting the drop on him still takes a bit of thinking, to keep you on your toes.

Aside from all of the jokes, using the wizardry to get from platform to platform is an enjoyable way to run through the level at a comfortable pace. After all, if you rush you’ll end up missing the beautiful set design.
