10 Best LGBT+ Characters In Gaming History

3. Fuse - Apex Legends

Apex Legends exploded onto the scene in 2019 as a wonderful mish-mash of battle royale and hero shooter. With a strong art style, crunchy gameplay and a colourful cast of legends to play as, it's perhaps more popular than ever. The PC version even set a new player-total record in January 2023.

What keeps gamers coming back is the continually strong updates and the new characters introduced. Apex has been queer-friendly since the beginning, but in the four years since has really grown its roster to include characters of all different kinds. However, season 8's Fuse deserves a special shout-out because pansexuality tends to be pretty underrepresented in media.

Fans were alerted to Fuses' fruitiness via a press statement that read "Ladies’ man, man’s man, and all-round manly man". In response to curious fans, Respawn writer Sam Gill confirmed that Fuse is pansexual.

For those that would like a definition, whereas bisexual tends to be defined as "attraction to two or more genders", pansexual refers to attraction to people regardless of their gender.

Basically, Fuse's sexuality is just like his general mannerisms. If he's having a good time, he's golden. He exudes charisma and machismo, has a tendency to blow things up and ask questions later and one can even argue that he's a decent representation for differently-abled folks thanks to his prosthetic arm.

What a guy!
