10 Best Mortal Kombat Villains EVER
3. Shao Kahn
Ten thousand years ago, Shao Kahn was an advisor for the Outworld Emperor, Onaga. Coveting power, Kahn poisoned his master, allowing him to claim the throne as his own. Under his rule, Outworld became the most triumphant realm in the history of Mortal Kombat, solidifying Kahn's belief that he was destined to rule all of reality.
When Kahn debuted in Mortal Kombat II, fans were a bit disappointed to see the final foe was just a guy wearing a skull helmet. After just beating his four-armed champion, Kintaro, the player probably expected the big bad to be a bit more intimidating.
Only after Kahn hurls your character to the other side of the arena with a single punch does the player realise how freakishly strong the immortal emperor is.
Although he could've easily been a stock character, Shao Kahn has proven to be one of the standout kombatants in the series. Not only that, his iconic war mask, chilling voice, massive sledgehammer, towering height, and mid-battle putdowns has allowed Kahn to become one of the most famous bosses in any fighting game.
