10 Best Resident Evil Games You Didn't Play
8. Resident Evil: Confidential Report
There are a bevvy of strange mobile games that most Resident Evil fans haven’t played or outright don’t know about. Some are adaptations of other video games and several are arcade style shooters that are basically there for Japanese players to spend a few yen on to pass the time.
Resident Evil: Confidential Report is a pretty unique case and probably the best of the bunch as it tries some interesting things. The game stars FBI agent Naomi McClain and rookie cop Tyler Hamilton in a non-canon story set in Raccoon City and the player selects one character and meets the other along the way, much like several classic Resident Evil titles.
Confidential Report’s action works on a grid system and uses tactical turn-based battling. Lining yourself up for a shot whilst attempting to evade enemy attacks are the core concepts, but Confidential Report keeps things interesting by including a big list of classic enemies.
Not just content with zombies and Lickers, the game also draws from the likes of the underrated Eliminator monkey B.O.W.s and Centurion centipede from Resident Evil Zero.
Confidential Report was enough of a success to release as a four part series between 2003 and 2006 but, considering it’s a mobile game it’s not a title than even many diehard Resident Evil fans do a lot of talking about.
