10 Best RPGs In A Modern Setting
6. South Park: The Stick Of Truth
South Park loves to take the piss out of everything so it's no wonder that they eventually decided to mock the crazy video game genre that is RPG's.
The thing is, in doing so they ended up creating a really good RPG, just one that points and laughs at the genre and video games as a whole every two seconds. I'd expect nothing less from South Park.
The idea of the game is great, you're the new kid in South Park who gets dragged into a game of make-believe between Cartman's group which I am not repeating the name of and Kyle and his Elves.
This of course results in you watching your parents having sex, fighting Nazi zombie fetuses, and crawling into Mr. Slave's anus, it honestly fits in so well with the rest of South Park that it just feels like you're playing through an episode of the show.
The game also captures the feeling of dressing up and playing with your friends, the fact that so many random objects can be used as weapons and are all given fantasy names is a really cool touch. Although when I played with my friends I don't remember fighting with broken bottles and sex toys.
