10 Best Video Game Characters Of The New Generation

9. Delsin Rowe - Infamous: Second Son

The latest main Infamous instalment was a strange addition to two otherwise pretty well-told games in parts one and two, mainly down to the fact that through and through it just felt like some weird, cobbled-together spin-off from the main canon.

Delsin was another character who divided fans along the way too, as although it was definitely refreshing to see a character dress and act in a way that represented an alternative style, his nonchalant attitude towards acquiring and using his powers put a few people off. Infamous remains a bit divisive in itself, as with combat that throws you into the thick of it only to take too much damage too fast, instead of feeling like the a super-powered bringer of justice, you're just as likely to be taken down by a random goon with a pistol you can't see.

All that aside, apart from abandoning his human roots in favour of going full-on counter-culture a bit too fast, Delsin's part in the narrative rang true with enough people to prevent him being received too negatively. He continues to divide those who spent time with him, so let us know what you thought in the comments below.
