10 Best Video Games Levels Of 2018 (So Far)

8. Finding Mega Man (Monster Hunter: World)

Monster Hunter World
Capcom

While the Monster Hunter franchise has always been a fan favourite amongst gamers, it only achieved mainstream success this year with the release of the first sequel to hit non-handheld consoles, Monster Hunter: World.

Monster Hunter: World was just as packed with activities and missions as any other release in the franchise, but some of the best content actually came after the title hit shelves, with tie-ins to other characters from different gaming franchises like Horizon: Zero Dawn's Aloy getting their own dedicated quests. However, by far the best of these add-ons has been the Mega Man hunt.

Transforming your cat companion into the Capcom mascot, the mission pits you against two devastating Odogorons, all the while the iconic Mega Man music swells in the background. It's a little gimmicky, for sure, but it's clear the developers love the properties hat cameo in any Monster Hunter game, and this one in particular is perhaps their greatest homage yet.
