10 Biggest Disappointments Of E3 2014

6. Sony Abandons The Vita

It may have had a shaky start, but Sony's handheld console really seemed to be picking up momentum over the last couple of years. PS Plus certainly helps a lot (you get free games for the handheld every month) meaning Vita owners were getting increasingly great titles steadily. As it's part of Sony's lineup, you'd expect some of the focus of E3 to be diverted away to the handheld. Unfortunately this wasn't the case; the bulk of the conference focused on PS4, with brief sections for Project Morpheus and Sony TV taking precedence. For Vita owners it's definitely hard not to feel just a tad dejected. It's fair enough though; Sony needed to show what their brand new hardware could do, but would a quick montage of PS Vita games have taken that much time? The big worry here is that Sony is slowly starting to give up on the Vita and will gradually stop the slew of content available for it. Does it still factor in to their plans? Probably yes, but nowhere near as much as the other things they got going down.
