10 Biggest Gaming Myths About The Apocalypse

5. Sleep

When medication and food can€™t heal you, sleep will. It€™s an age old practice in games and one that the medical profession would wholly support. Only it takes much longer than a slow 30 second loading time, oh and it doesn€™t take into account the crippling pain, deep rooted insomnia, fear of death, hostile environments, or irradiated blood stained mattresses you€™re no doubt working with. Whilst generally an in-game nap is a chance for a quick heal or secure save, there are games like Soul Survivor that recognise that it's also necessary to stave off madness. In the infected Soul Survivor world, sleeping pills are crucial to your well-being to ensure you can blot out the perpetual darkness. However, in the real apocalypse, a warm apartment, safe from the infected, is unlikely to come so easy and you may as well just accept that you're getting any good sleep anytime soon.
