10 Biggest Lies Gamers Tell Themselves

5. I Won't Cheat

We all pride ourselves on the fact that we're honest citizens. We never lie, and we never steal, unless we're playing Fallout. Sure, we're the scourge of humanity in video games, but in real life, we're nothing less than the last, best hope of humanity! It goes without saying that we certainly never cheat in real life. But we all do, at one time or another, on video games. Sometimes it can't be helped, no matter how much we tell ourselves we'll never resort to such desperate measures. Sometimes, our eyes can't help but drift to our opponent's screen on a split-screen competitive game. Other times, we can't help but do a little searching on the internet for tips to complete certain feats. Eventually, we all have to resort to flat out cheating, like those phone numbers we can call in Grand Theft Auto. Or, like those codes we can enter for the Sims, because it's impossible to actually keep a family alive with the small amount of starting money you get--alright, not impossible, but way too hard for those of us who actually want our miserable mother of 6 to have walls and a roof rather than furniture scattered throughout the yard.
