Mass Effect is one of the most beloved works of science fiction in all of media, following protagonist commander Shepard on an epic quest to save the universe from an ancient race of sentient spaceships who are coming to wipe out all organic life.

In a similar fashion to Halo, the key to defeating the reapers lies within a complex device constructed by an ancient alien race known as the Protheans.
