10. Tongue of the Fatman (1989, Commodore 64, MS DOS)

Although it sounds like the kind of thing Buster Bloodvessel would call his next album Tongue of the Fatman is in fact a classic (and I use that term in the loosest possible sense) side scrolling fighting game that appeared way back in the 1980's (unbelievable considering the amazing graphics, right?) on the Commodore 64. More surprising than the fact that a game like this even exists is the fact that it was actually engineered by the guys at Activision (Skylanders anyone?) who clearly thought that making a game in which the player takes on the role of a nameless tough guy who must wage war on a giant fat turd by the name of Mondo and his ass whooping minions would help cement them as the premier games developer in the world. That didn't exactly happen at least not as a result of releasing Fatman anyway. Unique elements in the game play included placing wagers on yourself so that you could win oodles of cash as you progressed through the various fights allowing you to buy new and improved weapons leading up to your final death match with old fatty himself. Not sure where his tongue comes into it all though.
