10 Broken Yu-Gi-Oh Cards That Can NEVER Be Unbanned

1. Pot Of Greed

The most infamous card in Yu-Gi-Oh! (and likely the history of Trading Card Games), Pot Of Greed only has three word in its text box: "Draw 2 cards".

In an age where Yu-Gi-Oh! cards are stuffed with so much text they're borderline illegible, it's easy to wonder why a simple three word card -- introduced in Legend Of Blue Eyes White Dragon, the game's very first booster set -- has been Forbidden for sixteen years.

Quite simply, Pot Of Greed is just too damn powerful. In a game which is arguably more about deck construction than strategy, the ability for any Deck to play a +2 card with absolutely no drawback is too staggering to comprehend. The majority of cards that revolve around drawing in Yu-Gi-Oh! provide a considerable drawback for relatively little benefit, are too slow for serious play, or provide some comparable benefit to the opponent.

Pot Of Greed is little more than an empty space in a Deck. And, in a game where every single card counts, the ability to cut a 40 card Deck to 38 is just too powerful to keep.
