There remains a great deal of uncertainty over how Super Mario Maker is possible on Switch. The best thing about the Wii U original was designing the level in your hands on the gamepad using a stylus, hitting play and enjoying your creation on the big screen. The two screens made it a cinch, and it was much the same for the 3DS version.

As the Switch has no stylus and no way to access the touch screen when docked, many doubted Mario Maker could even happen.

But within the first two minutes of the recent Direct, Nintendo unveiled Super Mario Maker 2, but what's really mind-boggling is that there are more than 7 million levels to play from the older titles already.

The burning question loyal fans are asking is: Will any of this be available in Super Mario Maker 2? Are levels transferable?

It would be a shame for those 7 million levels to disappear from the series. Clarity over this is paramount.
