10 Burning Questions Nintendo Have Left Unanswered For 2019

8. Where The F Is Kingdom Hearts?!

Bayonetta 3
Square Enix

Kingdom Hearts couldn't be a more Nintendo-esque franchise. Colourful, cartoon graphics, PG-friendly dialogue and boss battles, a great mix of exploration and combat...it's almost as if it should have started life on the GameCube and not the PlayStation 2. And no, I'm not bitter, jealous or still holding grudges from 2005 about console exclusivity.

Just weeks after the release of Kingdom Hearts III, Nintendo finally announces a Disney game for Nintendo Switch. Except it's Tsum Tsum Festival, a Mario Party style multiplayer game.

Call me spoiled, entitled, or a gamer battling first-world problems, but why no Kingdom Hearts? Getting the latest entry to run on Switch might be too much, but there's room for other games.

It's not like there's no link between Nintendo and Square Enix in this regard: the GameBoy Advance and Nintendo DS/3DS had a total of 4 games from the series between them. What's more, the PlayStation 3 and 4 have compilations and remakes aplenty, which included clips and remakes of the very same handheld Nintendo games! Surely this can work both ways?

So come on Square Enix, Disney, Nintendo. Drop the 1.5/2.5 and 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue with large fries and drink editions. Just sling us a Kingdom Hearts Trilogy to allow for the hunting of Heartless on the go and we'll stop complaining.
