10 Cancelled Star Wars Games We’ll NEVER Get Over
4. Star Wars 1313
The cancellation of Star Wars 1313 is widely regarded as one of the great missed opportunities, not just in Star Wars, but in all of gaming. Announced in 2012, 1313 was intended to focus on mature themes and more character-driven storylines, taking a clear influence from PlayStation's seminal Uncharted series.
Rather than doing the Jedi vs Sith narrative again, players took control of a young Boba Fett, navigating through the criminal underworld in Coruscant.
Even though there are times when it feels like the beloved property has done everything it can, looking at Star Wars from the lens of a bounty hunter was a novel idea for the time. 1313 would've delved into crime syndicates, smugglers, and underworld politics while dishing out cinematic storytelling and intense action. Based on the demo at E3 2012, Star Wars 1313 offered stunning visuals, a fluid shooting system, and seamless transitions between gameplay and cinematic sequences.
Sadly, the project was shelved after Disney acquired Star Wars so it wouldn't jar with the direction they wanted to take the brand, which entailed a reset of the Star Wars expanded universe. Although elements of 1313 have cropped up in other properties like The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, this is one cancelled project many fans still aren't over.
